AUSCOAL Super’s a caring organisation. The following benefits are provided for employees.
Parking
Free all day parking with close access to the premises – free parking is minimal in the Newcastle area.
Personal insurances
All employees receive income protection insurance, total and permanent disability and death insurance. This insurance is paid for by AUSCOAL Super from your commencement date.
We're one of the few companies in the Newcastle region that offers this benefit to protect employees’ financial interests.
Social functions
Our regular social functions include
- mid-year social family day function for employees and their families
- Christmas party for employees and their spouses
- monthly staff BBQ.
Leave
Birthday bonus: All employees have their birthday as a paid day off to celebrate their special day.
Volunteering leave: All employees are eligible for one day per annum volunteer leave to participate in activities to support our communities.
Sick leave: Payment of sick leave accruals on termination of employment. We’re not aware of any other company offering this to staff.
Future sick leave: Staff have the ability to salary sacrifice five or 10 days pa future sick leave entitlements once 10 days have been accrued.
Long service leave: Long service leave accruals in enterprise agreement of 12 weeks per 10 years and accrual basis thereafter. The Long Service Leave Act 1955 and Industrial Relations Act 1999 provide 8.667 weeks per 10 years, with eligibility at 15 for pro rata entitlement.
Personal leave: We offer flexibility in time off for personal needs. Time can be worked in lieu of time off. Fractional sick leave of annual leave can be requested to accommodate.
Unpaid leave. Unpaid leave is available for special circumstances to assist employees with their commitments.
Super contribution matching
AUSCOAL Super will match before-tax contributions to super (commonly known as salary sacrifice) up to 2% of employee's salary.
Vehicles and laptops
Staff can salary package a motor vehicle or laptop through AUSCOAL Super.
Rebates
We offer a prescription glasses rebate of up to $180 pa out of pocket.
Uniforms
Uniform allowance and annual top up. Payroll deductions are available for additional uniform purchases by employees.
Assistance
Employee Assistance Program for staff and their families at AUSCOAL Super’s expense.
Snacks and coffee
Fruit (minimum of three types) and biscuits provided for employees each week. We also provide café quality coffee machines.
Massages
AUSCOAL Super offers corporate massages for all employees. Average of one massage per month per employee.
