Joining AUSCOAL
AUSCOAL Super is a not-for-profit, industry superannuation fund that exists to help members of coal mining and related industries invest for their retirement. The Fund holds around $4.5 billion in super for more than 60,000 members and 2,500 employers (30 June 2009).
Registering as an AUSCOAL Super employer is easy!

Once we receive your paperwork, it takes about 10 days for us to set you up and send you important information about your registration, such as your employer number and login details for AUSCOAL Employer Online.

Paying your super contributions is easy with AUSCOAL Super!
As an AUSCOAL Super employer, you can pay your super contributions online using BPAY®. It's an easy, no fuss way to send your employer contributions to us. Here's how you can get started.
Under the Trust Deed for the AUSCOAL Superannuation Fund, you have 21 days from the end of the month to pay your compulsory employer contributions for your mine worker employees.
If you're a QLD coal mining company, it's also likely you'll need to pay to each employee's super account an after-tax contribution equal to 2.5% of the award wage for a coalcutting machineman under the Coal Mining Industry (Production and Engineering) Consolidated Award 1997.

If you have an ex-coal industry employee working for you, you can pay your compulsory employer contributions to their AUSCOAL Super account.
But you will need to first register with us as an AUSCOAL Super employer. See above for a link to the forms you need to complete.
